Iyengar Yoga is a form of  Hatha Yoga in that it teaches the traditional static postures with accurate breathing and in a meditative style, but it also puts a deeper emphasis on correct alignment of the body. Students leave feeling re-energised, refreshed and very relaxed.

About Suzy Rose

Suzy Rose is an Iyengar-Style Yoga Teacher and attained her 500 hours Yoga training Certificate in 2004 with Ruth White Yoga  in Cheam, Surrey. Ruth White, her teacher, trained with the master himself, BKS Iyengar in Pune, India.

Suzy has been teaching for over 20 years and is dedicated to helping her students to enjoy all the benefits of yoga whilst always working at their own pace.

Compared to other forms of yoga you may have experienced, Iyengar yoga is notable for its emphasis on precise body alignment. Although physically it can be challenging the Iyengar method is a therapeutic approach that supports holistic health. Rather than being left to simply ‘copy’ the teacher as best you can, in an Iyengar yoga class your teacher will actively help by explaining and correcting any misalignments.

Yoga Day Testimonials

” I enjoyed part of the workshop. Having adjustments made during the postures made a such a difference, I have never been in a class where I have had this. One thing I will remember is a wonderful sense of peace on the whole day. Following a ‘grrrhhhh’ day yesterday for me, I experienced an ‘aahhhh’ day today. Thank you Suzy I really enjoyed it.”

“I absolutely love these workshops as an opportunity to step out of the everyday and make time for myself. Both times I have attended, I’ve come away feeling revived and refreshed and have really felt the benefit of having spent time with a lovely bunch of people. Thank you for making this happen!
