Softly into Spring

Spring Equinox Yoga Day

Sunday March 22nd - 9.30am-4.30pm

Join us for a Full day of Yoga, Meditation and Relaxation

at Winchmore Hill, Amersham, Buckinghamshire

A Gentle Yoga Day of Awakening, Breath & Deep Release

March is often described as spring, yet many of us don’t quite feel its lightness or momentum yet. The body and nervous system are still carrying winter’s inward rhythm, even as the days begin to lengthen. This Yoga Day is intentionally placed in that in-between space — at the time of the Spring Equinox. It offers a gentle, nourishing pause before the pace of life subtly accelerates.

Rather than rushing into “spring energy,” this day honours the slower process of awakening. It is about preparing the body, breath, and mind for the months ahead with care, softness, and respect for where you truly are.

Why This Time of Year Matters

Late March is a threshold.

  • Between winter and spring
  • Between rest and movement
  • Between darkness and light
  • Between stillness and outward momentum

Although the Spring Equinox symbolises balance, it is also a turning point. From here, energy naturally begins to rise. As the clocks go forward and the evenings stretch longer, life quietly asks more of us.

This Yoga Day offers a chance to anchor yourself before that shift, helping the body and nervous system adjust gently

This Day Is For You If  :

  • You love gentle, restorative, and mindful yoga
  • Your energy is still turning inward,  as spring begins to arrive
  • You are sensitive to seasonal change
  • You value yoga as a healing, nurturing practice
  • You appreciate dedicated time just for yourself

By the end of the day, you are likely to feel calm, nourished, deeply relaxed, and refreshed, with a quiet sense of readiness to invite spring into your life. You may also experience gentle physical release and a subtle uplift in energy, all held within the warmth of shared practice and good company.

The Practice

The practices offered throughout the day are slow, spacious, and deeply supportive, designed to help the body emerge from winter gently, without force.

  • Gentle yoga, with long, deep, nourishing stretches
  • Breathwork, to soothe and ease the nervous system
  • Guided relaxation, to integrate, restore, and deeply rest
  • Rhythmic drumming with inner guided refelction
  • Crystal stone healing, creating balance, harmony, and calm

The body is treated as wise. Opening happens gradually, when it feels safe enough to do so.

Yoga Day Testimonials

There wasn’t a part I didn’t enjoy. Lovely venue made cosy by candles. Having adjustments made during the postures made such a difference; I have never been in a class where I have had this. One thing I will remember is a wonderful sense of peace for the whole day.
