Summer Yoga Day

9.30am - 4.15pm - Winchmore Hill Village Hall, Amersham, Bucks

Treat this day as a mini retreat. Time away from your everyday demands and stresses. Having a whole day away from it all is very healing and often just what you need to re-energise. For many years I have run one Day Retreats like this and even week long retreats abroad.

Yoga and an Introduction to Mindfulness

9.30 – Welcome and Registration

9.45 – 11.00 – Yoga, The Iyengar Way. Static, Deep Stretch Postures

Tea Break (Refreshments provided)

11.15 – 11.45 – Pranayama (Yoga Breathing) and Mindfulness Meditation

11.45 – 12.30 – The Power of Extension Postures on The Spine

Lunch Break (please bring your own lunch)

13.00 – 13.30 – Yoga Flow. Loosening movements for body and mind.

13.30 – 14.30 – Introduction to Mindful Living, Eating, Walking, Managing Emotions.

14.30 – 15.00 – Yoga – Strengthening the core and Yin Yoga postures, for rest and recuperation.

Tea Break

15.15 – 16.00 – Yoga Nidra – Deep Relaxation technique
