A Seasonal Yoga Retreat to Ground, Restore, and Breathe
As the vibrant colours of summer fade and the crisp air of autumn settles in, we’re invited to slow down, reflect, and nurture ourselves more deeply. An Autumn Yoga Day is designed to help you align with the calming energy of the season through grounding postures, breathwork, and restorative practices. As the natural world turns inward, so too can we—supporting our nervous and immune systems with conscious movement and mindful stillness.

🍁
Autumn Yoga Practice
- Support Lung & Digestive Health: Autumn is associated with the lungs and large intestine. Breathwork and twists can help keep both strong and healthy.
- Embrace Emotional Balance: The lungs hold the emotion of grief; allow yourself to gently release what no longer serves you.
- Balance Yin & Yang: Blend stimulating asanas like boat pose and twists with soothing practices like legs-up-the-wall and child’s pose.

🍁
Autumn Breathwork
In our breathwork sessions, we’ll guide you through practices that are both stimulating and calming — perfect for balancing the shifting energy of autumn. These include:
- Wim Hof Method – A combination of conscious breathing, breath retention, and meditation designed to boost vitality and resilience.
- Nadi Shodhana (Alternate Nostril Breathing) – A soothing and balancing practice to calm the nervous system and restore inner harmony.
- Kapalabhati (Skull Shining Breath) – A dynamic and energising breath to awaken internal fire and clear mental fog.
🍁
Cacao Ceremony
A heart-opening gathering where we share the ceremonial-grade cacao drink. This ancient sacred ritual is valued for both spiritual and medicinal purposes.
- Spiritual & Emotional: Awakens the heart, enhances joy, supports emotional release, focus, and resilience—deepening self-reflection and spiritual connection.
- Mental: Boosts blood flow to the brain, improving clarity, memory, and focus.
- Physical: Rich in antioxidants, cacao helps protect the body and may reduce the risk of chronic disease.

This day retreat is suitable for all levels, with modifications offered throughout. Come as you are — leave feeling grounded, centred, spacious, and renewed for as you move through the season.
Please Bring: Your yoga mat, water bottle, a blanket for relaxation, and your lunch.

Yoga Day Testimonials
It was lovely to have a day of yoga and spend time with lovely people. The mix balance of yoga postures versus breathing exercises and meditation was what I enjoyed the most. I loved it all. One thing I’ll take away, focus on getting the posture correct, not just how far I can stretch.
~ Jules Montgomery – October 24 ~
I enjoyed most about the day being away from daily jobs and giving myself time to unwind in a different relaxing environment. The pace and teaching was just right and the venue. It was a great de-stress. Suzy, you are a great teacher, a pleasure to be taught by you over the years.
~ Julia Collins – October 24 ~

“Rather than planning new projects, this is the time to gradually conclude what we’ve been working on… Our yoga practice needs to adjust to nourish both the nervous system and immune system.”
