Autumn Yoga

AUTUMN EQUINOX
Following the The Autumn equinox on the 22nd September this year, we look forward to the coming of Autumn energy and all that it brings for us on an energetic level. The autumn equinox marks the start of a (usually spiritual) journey inward that will last a few months.
Time to go within
During the Autumn season, we spend more time inside with loved ones and generally move at a slower pace than in summer. We are offered the opportunity to regroup, contemplate and return to that deep inner well of power. It is a time for us to decide what we wish to create and also be thankful for all that we already have.
Spiritually, autumn is a time for releasing what no longer serves you, honouring your inner growth and of course the equilibrium of day and night encourages us to balance the light and darkness within our own lives. The trees are shedding what they no longer need and so should we. What or who are we ready to release from our life? What will we not be taking with us into this new season? How will we navigate letting these things go for good?
Harvest time
Autumn also brings with it the harvest, the fruits of our planting and hard work at the beginning of the year. It is a time for us to be thankful for all that we already have, a time for gratitude. In the same way that farmers honour their harvest by gathering crops, we should be honouring our own harvest by looking back at the intentions we previously set and acknowledging how they’ve come to fruition.

“I enjoyed the pace throughout the day, and the connection to the group that was brought together from the yoga. A truly calming and grounded experience, a spiritual event because of the instructors“
