Mindfulness Courses So You Can Enjoy Life to the Full
Know what feels good around you
Mindfulness is…
More than just finding peace and quiet in yourself
Yes, mindfulness is very much about coming into the present moment and finding peace and quiet in yourself in a busy and sometimes chaotic world. However, it is also a profound therapeutic process.
Mindfulness as a therapy
What we do
Many of my coaching clients are also introduced to some mindfulness techniques and they may not realise it. Techniques such as:-
- Breath awareness - I help you to work with your breath to guide and calm the nervous system. Many people find meditation difficult but find it easy to simply sit quietly with whatever arises in themselves in any given moment.
- Learn to work with the present moment - in any given situation, safely and wisely, save your energy by dealing with what is happening to you now.
- Increase Self Awareness - discover how YOU function to solve problems and difficult situations. You may be more:
Visual – you create images in your mind about situations and have thoughts
Auditory – you hear conversations in your head and work effectively with this to resolve issues
Kinaesthetic – you feel emotions through sensations in your body and can clear them easily
Mindfulness brings more joy in your life
Practice makes perfect
There are so many different techniques you can learn to develop a mindfulness approach in your life, and most are simple and natural to do.
Like everything we learn, what makes it effective and life enhancing is regular practice.
As a result of practicing mindfulness, you will experience :
- Joy
- Openness
- Less tension in your body
- Clear head
- Quality sleep
- More energy
- Connection to nature
- Enjoy hobbies
- More fun
- Compassion for yourself and others
- Connection with others
- Intimate relationships

What I learned from Mindfulness and Meditation Training
Spiritual practice
During my intense 500-hour yoga training, 19 years ago, I was offered transcendental meditation (sometimes referred to as the TM Technique), which is a form of silent meditation that involves the use of a silently used sound called a mantra. I still use it from time to time in my spiritual practice.
We also received weekly mindfulness training sessions. The primary teaching was based on making the present moment your ultimate intention in everything you do. I found this teaching to be invaluable and a great discipline, The book The Power of Now by Eckhart Tolle also became my spiritual practice.
Mindfulness meditation practice is different to transcendental meditation. It is easier to learn and practice for most people and has a less disciplined approach.
