Spring Equinox

The Spring Equinox is on the 20th March marks the beginning of spring and is a time for rebirth, creativity, and balance. It brings with it, equal night and day.  With the Spring Equinox, the spirit is waking up and finding a new balance in your energy. This fresh, warm energy has the power to make you feel alive & inspired. Yoga can greatly assist with the  energy shift from an inward-focus of Winter to the outward-focus of Spring.

Spring Yoga postures are all about opening the chest and heart centre. Energy that has been stored in the winter is ready to open up. It is like giving your body permission to expand and flow again from a restful state. This wonderful Yoga Day will get you off to a right start and bring warmth and sunshine back into your body to open up all your senses. Along with opening the heart centre, you will also ignite the energy of the solar plexus chakra. Breathing techniques will help you to balance your energy and prepare you for a new life and a more expanded state.

9.30 – Welcome and Registration

9.45 – 11.00 –  Chest Opening Yoga Postures 

Tea Break (Refreshments provided)

11.15 – 11.45 – Pranayama – Yoga Breathing

11.45 – 12.30 – Strong Standing postures. 

Lunch Break (please bring your own lunch)

13.00 – 13.30 – Introduction to Kundalini Awakening

13.30 – 14.30 – Dynamic Sitting postures for  yin/yang balance. 

14.30 – 15.00 – Rotations, Twists and Revolving postures.

Tea Break

15.15 – 15.45 – ‘Grand Yoga Breath’ – AUM mantra and Mudras. 

15.45 – 16.15 – Deep Relaxation technique – Yoga Nidra 

16.15 Finish and Feedback
