How does hypnosis work?
- It works directly on the subconscious mind.
- The process involves an induction state of deep relaxation of the mind and body called hypnosis.
- In your normal waking state, you might ignore or brush off questions which lead you to examine long held, never questioned beliefs or patterns of behaviour.
- In the hypnotic state, you are likely to be more open to proposals or advice and this is where the magic happens.
- In just 3 to three sessions you will often notice significant changes, and these will seem automatic and effortless.
Your Hypnotherapy sessions
Very different from the myths
When many people think of hypnosis, they picture stage shows where volunteers are invited on stage to perform amusing acts for entertainment. While fun to watch, this is very different from hypnotherapy.
As a Qualified Hypnotherapist, I provide structured, purposeful sessions designed to help you achieve specific personal goals—whether that’s making a change, overcoming a challenge, or moving forward in a new direction.
During hypnosis, you remain fully in control at all times. You cannot be made to do anything you don’t want to do—every choice is always yours. Hypnotherapy simply helps you access a more focused and receptive state of mind, where positive change becomes easier.
For best results, I usually recommend a Set of 3 consecutive weekly sessions, each session is 75 minutes. A single session is often not enough to create lasting change. Depending on the issue, some clients may benefit from additional sessions—either to work more deeply on the original concern or to explore new areas they wish to improve.
If however, you have had hypnotherapy before, a single 90 minute Power Session could work well for you.
