This workshop will show you how to reduce stress, release tension in the body, replenish your energy and enhance your overall well-being.
Stress and Tension
When the body is stressed, muscles tense up. Muscle tension is almost a reflex reaction to stress—part of the body's "fight or flight" response. It is the body's way of guarding against injury and pain. With sudden onset stress, the muscles tense up all at once, and then release their tension when the stress passes.
There are two keys areas that tension gradually develops in the body and it cause chronic problems over time, if ignored. These are in the neck and shoulders (often leading to persistent headaches as well) and tension in the hips and pelvis.
Yoga can help to relieve tension in both areas, quickly and effectively. This workshop is specifically designed to teach you how to not only relieve these symptoms but also prevent them from recurring.
Postures that incorporate both the yin and yang energy together, help the full release of tension in key the key areas of the body, namely, the neck and shoulders and hips and pelvis.

Mindfulness, breath work and relaxation techniques incorporated into the yoga postures have profound benefits to releasing tension both in the body and the mind.

Take some time to properly learn the breathing techniques that relieve tension :
- alternate nostril breathing (nadi shodhana)
- ocean breath (ujjai )
- Rhythmic Breathing (Savitri)
- humming bee breath (bhramari)

12.45- 13.00 – Deep Relaxation technique – Yoga Nidra
