Yoga With Suzy Rose
A gentle space to pause, breathe, and reconnect with yourself
Yoga offers a quiet sanctuary in the week where you can step away from the demands of daily life and return to a sense of balance and calm.
Through mindful movement, breath awareness, and deep relaxation, the body can release tension and the mind can settle. Many students find that after class they leave feeling lighter, clearer, and more grounded.
My classes are welcoming, supportive, and suitable for all levels of experience.
A Welcoming Practice For All
All levels are welcome in my classes.
Whether you are completely new to yoga or have been practising for many years, you will be encouraged to move at your own pace and work within your own limits.
Each student receives individual attention where needed, helping ensure that postures are practised safely and with good alignment. A mindful yoga practice respects the body and allows progress to unfold naturally over time. Yoga can become a sacred pause in your week, a place where you can simply breathe, move gently, and reconnect with yourself.

The Benefits of Yoga
Regular yoga practice can support wellbeing in many ways, both physically and mentally.
Yoga may help to:
• reduce stress and calm the nervous system
• improve flexibility and strength
• ease tension in the back, neck, and shoulders
• support better sleep and relaxation
• increase body awareness and balance
• create greater mental clarity and emotional well-being
Even a gentle weekly practice can bring noticeable changes to how the body feels and how the mind responds to everyday pressures.
My Approach To Teaching
My teaching is rooted in traditional Hatha yoga and focuses on creating a calm and supportive environment for every student.
Classes often include:
• Gentle yoga postures to improve flexibility and strength
• Breath awareness to calm the nervous system
• Relaxation practices to release stress and tension
• Mindful attention to alignment and safe movement
The aim is not perfection in the posture, but awareness within the body. Over time, this awareness naturally supports greater balance, both physically and mentally.
About me
My own yoga journey began in 2002. What started as a personal practice gradually grew into a deeper curiosity about the philosophy and wider benefits of yoga.
I completed my 500 Hour Yoga Teaching Diploma with Ruth White in Cheam, Surrey. This was an intensive two year training programme that included many extended training retreats and in depth study across a range of disciplines.
During the training we worked with expert teachers in:
• Anatomy and Physiology
• Yoga Philosophy
• Nutrition
• Ayurvedic Medicine
• Mindfulness and meditation practices
The training also included some memorable experiences, including a fire walk in Edinburgh, which was both powerful and symbolic of stepping beyond perceived limits.
Ruth White’s teaching approach placed strong emphasis on precision, awareness, and correct alignment in every posture. This careful attention to detail continues to influence my own teaching today, helping students develop a safe, mindful, and sustainable yoga practice.

Testimonials
I attended classes with Suzy, after a long day at work!! I am so impressed with her personal attention, calmness and quality of tailored programme that just after few classes, I started feeling a lot better in my self. She adds a holistic approach and makes the whole journey very smooth. I highly recommend her as a person, as a coach and as a yogi. Her vast knowledge of yoga poses with rational and medical reasoning is amazing.
