Woman who knows hoe to manage self care

Why do women struggle with guilt

Women often struggle with guilt, stemming from feelings of not having done enough or feeling like they are not doing enough. Guilt can often make you feel overwhelmed with the responsibility of being a mother, wife, daughter, or career woman. You may feel like you are not able to give enough in any of these areas or that you are not living up to expectations.

Yet by giving more attention to yourself, you can offer so much more to others. Self care is not selfish, it actually makes you a more interesting and wholesome person and others are inspired by you.

Women may also feel guilty when they are not able to do something they wish they could or feel like they are not doing enough for their family or friends.

If you struggle with guilt when you take time out for yourself, try to think of how much more open – hearted and less stressed you would feel on a daily basis. Others would benefit so much more from a calmer, happier you.

When you feel bad about making decisions that you feel are not in the best interest of the people around you, what you may not realise is that others who love you and care about you, want you to also have fun and enjoy your life as much as they do. It prevents them from guilty about the sacrifice you make for them.

Guilt can have a profound effect on women’s mental and physical health. It can lead to feelings of depression, anxiety, and low self-esteem. It can also lead to physical symptoms such as headaches, fatigue, and sleeplessness.

It is important for women to recognise the signs of guilt and to find ways to manage it. This can be done through talking to a Therapist or Life Coach, setting boundaries, and taking time-out for themselves. There are many ways to Work With Me.
